SEO [an acronym for Search Engine Optimization] use to define the steps a person use to achieve good position or rank on search engines results pages (SERPs) for a webpage or you can also define SEO as a process of trying to get a webpage ranked high for search words (keywords) in search engines to increase the number of visitors who come to the website.
